Seventy-third Grand Consul Robert “Bob” Wilson, FORT HAYS 1981, was initiated into the Fraternity on May 6, 1978. He holds a bachelor of arts degree in political science and a bachelor of science degree in economics, as well as a master’s degree in international economics from the University of Denver.
Wilson has served the General Fraternity in a variety of capacities at both the international and province levels. While at the University of Denver, he served as chapter advisor and was the secretary-treasurer with the Denver Alumni Chapter. He first became a Grand Praetor for the Rocky Mountain province in 1997 and held that role for 10 years. While as Grand Praetor, Wilson helped reactivate the Pikes Peak Region Alumni Chapter.
He has served on numerous committees, including as chairman of the Peterson Award Review Committee, International Balfour Award Selection Committee, New Chapter Development Committee, Mission 365 Committee and Alumni Engagement Committee, as well as being a member of the Significant Sig Awards Committee, Ritual Peers Committee and the Membership Review Team.
Wilson has served as a summer workshop facilitator in the Quaestor, Magister and Recruitment faculty teams, and he earned the William H. Carlisle Jr. Outstanding Workshop Faculty Award in 1998. He has served as an Officer Training Academy faculty member and being an executive committee member for the Adaptive Leadership and Authentic Leadership courses within the Transformational Leader program. Wilson also became a Horizons Huntsman Leadership Summit program facilitator in its inaugural year.
Wilson was inducted into the Order of Constantine in 2003.
Professionally, Wilson started his commodity trading career while in graduate school and is a founding partner in hedgersedge.com, a consulting firm for the agri-business industry.
