The DC Alumni chapter meets for lunch (with a guest speaker)  on the second Thursday of the month at the Capitol City Brewing Company in Washington D.C.  (11th & H Streets,  NW,  approximately 2 blocks from METRO's  Metro Center train stop).  The Chapter also hosts monthly Happy Hours on the third Wednesday of the month at Buffalo Billiards (1330 19th Street NW, above the METRO Red Line DuPont Circle Station south entrance).  These events are an excellent informal meeting and networking opportunity for local Sigs,  especially recent graduates.   In addition,  the Chapter hosts an annual Christmas party,  and several special events that include  sporting/cultural get-togethers during the year at locations around the DC Metro area.

Our biennial Congressional Luncheon is a unique Fraternity event, and has been an Alumni Chapter tradition since the 1960s.  It will be held again in April 2017 on Capitol Hill.  Chapter members meet and have lunch with Sigma Chi's who are serving Members of Congress,  members of the administration,  or congressional staff members.  D.C. Alumni Chapter members are guaranteed reservations for this always sold-out event.

All brothers are welcome to attend the events and are encouraged to become Full Members of the Chapter.  Annual dues are only $25 ( $5 for brothers within 5 years of graduation) and are for the calendar year, January through December.  Aside from covering basic administrative costs,  the dues allow the Chapter to make an annual charitable contribution to the Huntsman Cancer Institute and provide support to the local active undergraduate Sigma Chi chapters in the area.

The Chapter strives to continue the opportunity for Brothers throughout the Washington DC Metro area to share in the continued brotherhood of Sigma Chi,  to meet new brothers,  and to share their Sigma Chi experiences.
